Clear the Way: Volunteer Day at Stringers Ridge

Saturday, Nov 149:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Stringer's Ridge Park
SORBA ChattanoogaOrganizer

Join Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors and Red Bank Parks and Recreation for a joint workday dedicated to keeping Stringer's Ridge trails clean, safe, and open! Volunteers will assist park staff in clearing and moving deadfall along the trail system.

Maintaining Stringer’s Ridge is vital to keeping our urban wilderness safe, accessible, and ecologically healthy. Clearing deadfall removes trip hazards for hikers and bikers, prevents erosion-causing detours around trail blockages, and reduces heavy fuel loads that increase wildfire risk in our urban canopy. This workday gives volunteers a direct role in protecting the shared green spaces that keep our region thriving.
