1800’s Blacksmith Forge Fundraiser and Silent Auction

Step back in time and help forge the future of living history at Audubon Acres!

Join us for a special fundraising event to support the construction of a traditional 1800s-style blacksmith forge. This new addition will become a permanent part of our living history programs, providing hands-on educational experiences for school groups, families, scouts, and visitors for generations to come.

Enjoy a day filled with history, craftsmanship, and nature, including:

Live blacksmithing demonstrations by skilled artisans

A silent auction featuring unique items, experiences, and locally donated treasures

Living history reenactors portraying life in the 1800s

Tours of our historic cabin

Guided history hikes exploring the stories of Audubon Acres

Naturalist-led hikes highlighting the wildlife and habitats that make this property so special

Whether you're bidding on auction items, watching sparks fly from the forge, or exploring the trails, every dollar raised helps bring this exciting educational project to life.

Come experience history in action and help us build a place where visitors can discover the important role blacksmiths played in shaping communities throughout the 19th century.

Together, we can preserve the past while inspiring future generations.
