Laurel-Snow State Natural Area is a Tennessee Class II Natural-Scientific State Natural Area located in Rhea County, Tennessee, near Dayton, on Walden Ridge of the Cumberland Plateau. The 2,259-acre (9.14 km2) area is owned by the State of Tennessee and managed by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. It is a component of the Cumberland Trail, a linear park.

CLOSED: SCC page says Laurel Snow SNA closed until further notice due to wildfires (check before going). Climbing permitted only at Buzzard Point and the Dayton Roof area; no new bolting. OSM node 2223141607 (Buzzard Point) and 2223141619 (Dayton Pocket Boulders).

Parking & getting there

Laurel-Snow trailhead at the end of Richland Creek Rd north of Dayton (Google 'Pocket Wilderness' pin 35.52491,-85.02606); gated lot closes at sunset, cars locked in/towed. Long hike (~4 mi) to Buzzard Point.
