Cherohala Skyway\, Cherokee and Na ntahala National Forests provide all the goods—long climbs\, fast descen ts\, great forest roads\, rowdy gravel\, and amazing vistas.\nIf you dare to try the 88-mile option\, you’re looking at a stout 11\,500+ feet of c limbing\, and a big day of mountain graveling. The Classic 63-mile course is no joke\, with 8\,800+ feet\, and is arguably\, the perfect collection of Tellico gravel. Both routes include the Basin Gap and North River Road climbs\, while the 88-mile course adds the spectacular climb to Farr Gap.\ nBack for 27' is the 38 Special\, which offers a more sensible route\, but plenty of scenery and it's fair share of climby gravel. This gem leaves o ut the Basin Gap and North River climbs\, but utilizes Tellico River Rd to access an exclusive "special" loop to Rafter Community and back.\nRiders must be finished by sunset.
