Blacksmith 101

Step back into history and experience the timeless craft of blacksmithing in this hands-on introduction to the forge. Participants will discover what skilled blacksmiths can create using little more than hot steel, a hammer, and an anvil. Along the way, you’ll learn how a blacksmith’s forge operates, become familiar with the different parts of an anvil, and explore the vital role blacksmiths played in shaping communities and civilizations around the world—including the development of our own country.
Participants under 17 years of age must have a chaperone.
